Final Presentation
Through collaboration between these various workshops, a multimedia final presentation was created, which was ultimately presented to an audience.
Radio report
During the youth exchange, a radio report was produced that was broadcast on the local radio station in Rostock (Radio LOHRO). The radio report can be listened to here. It is an interesting look behind the scenes of the ART CAMP.
As part of the youth meeting, a participant wrote a poem for the Open Stage, which we would like to share here
Saige
“In a faraway village, there used to be a plant named Saige.
It was the strongest medicinal plant in the village. The villagers used to rip it off every month than every week, and finally, they started to rip it every day.
They used it for the smallest things. They didn’t want to feel pain; they didn’t want to suffer. They put Saige in té, food and in their cigarettes. Everyone consumed Saige until one day they finished it. They didn’t know what to do.
Out of anger and pain, they burned the Saige wood to the ground. Their greediness brought them to their doom. The villagers became angry and worse every day. Burning the woods didn’t help their anger, so they went a second time. This time, the wood was magically healed. The Saige plant was back and more beautiful than before.
The villagers were happy, so they went there to take it again. Once they took it, they fell in agony, their lungs hurt, and swelled up. They started to cough up blood, and some of them died. The village doctor went to the wood again to try and understand why this was happening, and there he found a snake. But it was not a normal snake—it was special. Everywhere it went, plants would bloom behind him.To be happy again, let this be a lesson. The woods are not of your access; you must learn to live with the pain and finally find patience.”
